Nicholas Schwartz, M.D.

Dr. Nicholas Schwartz studied medicine at Yale University where he earned the Outstanding Community Service Award and national recognition for his work in Emergency Medicine.  He received an MD degree in 1995.

Dr. Schwartz completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.  Soon thereafter he joined the faculty at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine.

After three years of clinical work and teaching at Mt. Sinai and the Elmhurst Hospital Center in New York Dr. Schwartz returned to residency to retrain in Psychiatry.  He studied at the University of Washington in Seattle where he focused on ADD and psychotherapy.  He then went on to run the Psychiatric Emergency Services at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Schwartz is currently in private practice in New York City.  He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry.  As part of his practice in General Psychiatry Dr. Schwartz specializes in Adult ADD and Anxiety Disorders.
